Job summary

Sysco is seeking an HSE professional to assist in implementing prevention-focused health, safety and environmental programs across an OpCo. The role supports training, policy adherence and crisis preparedness to strengthen Sysco's safety objectives.

You will conduct training, inspections, incident investigations, and regulatory coordination, requiring 2+ years of safety experience, OSHA certification and a valid driver’s license; occasional travel to Sysco facilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of safety experience with OSHA certifications.
• 2+ years with direct hands-on safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation.
• Has attained or is working toward certification in safety as a recognized safety professional; valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs and training.
• Maintain safety records, logs, reports, and inspections.
• Conduct site inspections and assist investigations of incidents and injuries.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and coach high-risk associates.
• Interface with regulators (OSHA, DOT, EPA) as needed.
• Support development of annual HSE training plans.
