Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a senior HSE leader to drive the prevention-focused health, safety and environmental program across the OpCo. The role will establish and execute a strategy supporting Sysco’s HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness.

You will develop and implement plans to reduce injuries, incidents, and non-compliance, and lead audits, training, and incident investigations with senior leadership and site management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or transportation operations.
• Experience with occupational safety, transportation safety, and environmental compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead HSE strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Design and implement plans to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Communicate HSE objectives to Senior Leadership.
• Support site management in implementing HSE plans.
• Develop metrics to track progress and drive accountability.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and regulators.
• Coordinate annual HSE training plans and associated programs.
