Job summary

Sysco Sacramento, Inc. is seeking a leader to implement prevention-focused health, safety and environmental (HSE) and security programs across the OpCo.

You will develop strategies aligned with corporate HSE and security goals and lead audits, incident investigations, and training to reduce injuries and incidents. In cooperation with operations, you will design metrics, drive regulatory compliance, and build cross-functional relationships to foster a zero-incident culture while ensuring permits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing or transportation.
• Considerable experience with occupational safety, transportation safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE strategy to support corporate goals.
• Design and implement HSE plans to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Communicate HSE strategy with Senior Leadership.
• Support site management in HSE plan implementation.
• Develop metrics to track progress and drive accountability.
• Create and deliver HSE training programs.
• Audit compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA and local regulators.
• Develop and implement annual HSE training plan.
