Job summary
Valmont Industries, a Fortune 1000 leader, seeks a General Manager at the Franklin Park site. This executive will assume full P/L responsibility for the facility, drive strategic planning, sales and production alignment, budgeting, and capital utilization, while leading a diverse team of managers and supervisors.
Reporting to the Regional Director, you will optimize operations, implement Lean practices, ensure safety via EHS standards, and pursue growth initiatives, new markets, and cost
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's with 7+ years relevant experience or 11+ years total relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret financial data, reports and legal documents.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities at all organizational levels.
- Lean manufacturing experience with standard work and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own full P/L responsibility for the site and oversee all resources.
- Direct sales, marketing, production planning, scheduling and cost control.
- Provide leadership and development for managers and supervisors.
- Drive safety, EHS compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop budgets, strategic plans and capital projects for growth.
