Job summary

Vapor Power International, LLC in Franklin Park, IL is seeking a Manager, Operations to lead manufacturing activities and collaborate with senior leadership. You will oversee Production, Planning, Warehouse, Purchasing, Automation Engineering, and Design for the location, guiding a team of 30+ employees to meet budgets and schedules.

The role emphasizes safety, process optimization, and KPI development, with direct reporting to the General Manager & Director, VPI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
5+ years of manufacturing management experience with personnel responsibility.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations including production, engineering design and automation within a safe, efficient environment.
Supervise supervisors, leads, and professionals focusing on safety, performance, and attendance.
Develop new processes and implement designs into production.
Monitor backlog and coordinate production and planning activities.
Establish production schedules for optimal efficiency.
Maintain SOPs to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvements and KPI development.
Maintain ERP data accuracy and inventory control.
