Job summary

NEXPERA in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead site-level Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

You will partner with site leadership, manage audits, incident investigations, MOC processes, and regulatory reporting, and act as primary liaison with OSHA, EPA, and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience with permitting, environmental regs, and multi-media HSE programs.
• PSM experience and certifications preferred (CHMM/CSP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve site EHS management systems for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct EHS audits and inspections at the site.
• Identify risks, implement controls, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Support MOC processes and incident investigations.
• Manage EHS documentation, OSHA logs, reports, and metrics.
• Monitor performance metrics and lead reporting.
• Liaise with OSHA, EPA, and local authorities on regulatory matters.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
