Job summary

NEXPERA is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for its Darrow, LA site. The role leads site EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and to foster a strong safety culture while supporting operational excellence.

The candidate will manage air, water, and waste programs, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and drive continuous improvement in environmental stewardship and safety practices across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with state environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance.
• Multi-media EHS experience (air, water, waste).
• PSM experience preferred; chemical/heavy industry background preferred.
• Proficiency with office software; Google Workspace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, focusing on state-specific rules.
• Lead environmental programs for air, water, and waste across site operations.
• Serve as primary site contact for regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, local authorities).
• Manage permits, renewals, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Plan for regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective actions; drive improvements.
• Maintain and improve site EHS management systems and incident investigations.
• Support emergency planning and response and monitor EHS performance metrics.
