Job summary

NEXPERA's site Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager leads, implements, and sustains site-level EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary environmental authority for the site and liaises with regulatory agencies to drive continuous improvement, environmental stewardship, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with state-specific environmental regulations, including permitting and compliance.
• Strong multi-media environmental experience (air, water, and waste).
• Process Safety Management (PSM) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations, with focus on state-specific regulations.
• Lead site environmental programs covering air, water, and waste (multi-media) compliance.
• Serve as the primary site contact for regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, local authorities).
• Manage all environmental permits, renewals, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Plan for and support regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions; lead responses to findings.
• Maintain and improve site EHS management systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct environmental, health, and safety audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with site leadership to identify environmental and safety risks and drive improvements.
• Support MOC processes and recordkeeping; lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Support emergency planning, drills, and incident response.
• Monitor, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics and leading indicators.
• Partner with HR on workers’ compensation and health initiatives.
• Provide PSM support and stay current on regulatory changes.
