Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Staff Engineer to join our team. You will perform civil site design for utility-scale solar projects, including access roads, work pads, and associated permitting support, with occasional field work.

You will contribute to a collaborative design team, produce clear civil design plan sets, and help meet project schedules and budgets while upholding our standards for quality and client service.

Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training or Engineering Intern certification, or the ability to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design team member supporting permitting, design, and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Use sound engineering judgment and adhere to ethical standards when evaluating, selecting, and applying standard technical procedures to complete project tasks.
• Gain foundational knowledge and develop engineering skills through mentored experiences.
• Coordinate with design team members to meet project milestones, contract requirements, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with design team members to uphold company standards and consistency.
