Job summary

Bohlers Fairfield, CT office is seeking a Design Engineer to support site design projects from concept to completion, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver practical, buildable solutions.

You9ll perform site layout, grading, utility and stormwater plans, conduct research, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce coordinated design packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of site design experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater plans.
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages.
• Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies.
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges.
