Job summary

Bohler's West Hartford, CT office is seeking a Project Engineer to advance technically and professionally. You will lead site design and coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive packages across commercial, residential, and industrial projects in Connecticut.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and knowledge of zoning and permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.
• 6+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management design software.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems for complex projects.
• Analyze zoning regulations, site conditions, and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
• Perform stormwater management and hydrology calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive design packages.
• Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in technical training and quality review.
• Support client communication, permitting efforts, and coordination with review agencies.
