Job summary
Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a civil engineering student intern to assist with planning, design and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects in Irvine, CA. You will help prepare reports, plans, schedules, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office, under supervision.
The role offers exposure to field inspections, data analysis of soils and hydrology, and collaboration with a project team.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a four-year civil engineering degree with a GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and analytical.
- Able to work independently and in a team; some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil projects.
- Prepare reports, plans, schedules, cost estimates and designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Analyze maps, soils, hydrology and topography for project impact.
- Support zoning, permit assessments and feasibility studies; assist with field inspections.
- Collaborate with team members and perform other duties as requested.
