Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering to join its collaborative team in Salt Lake City, UT. This individual will serve a key function in supporting site feasibility studies which may involve field work, technical report preparation and calculations, pre‑construction conditions documentation, design plans and specifications.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience technically and professionally by partnering directly with industry

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, plans, specs, schedules and cost estimates using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Interpret reports, maps and drawings to assess soil, terrain, hydrology and topography for project planning.
• Support zoning, permitting assessments and feasibility analysis based on data collected.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply engineering principles and mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested.
