Job summary

Langan International, LLC is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering in New York, NY. This role supports site feasibility studies, field work, technical report preparation and calculations, and design plans under the guidance of experienced engineers on diverse land development projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software, contribute to plans and permits, and learn project workflow through mentorship and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using CAD software and equipment.
• Effectively use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data.
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments, assist with sidewalk estimations, and determine feasibility of projects based on data.
• Provide field inspection services, as needed.
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and
• Perform other duties as requested.
