Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer (PE) in Columbus to join the Land Development Engineering team. You will design site layouts, perform hydrology/hydraulics analyses, and lead permitting efforts while mentoring junior staff. This role emphasizes growth, collaboration, and delivering high-quality civil designs.

You will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, coordinate with municipalities, and support project teams on diverse site/civil projects with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and site/civil design software.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Provide technical support and lead site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management.
• Coordinate permitting with County and local municipalities; experience with local municipalities is a plus.
• Multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
• Work with project management to identify impediments and develop solutions.
• Perform pavement assessments and compile data and reports.
• Occasional field work and local/overnight travel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
