Job summary

Woolpert is hiring a Site Civil Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic Land Development Engineering team. This position reports to the Engineering Team Leader and is responsible for plan production, performing and reviewing design calculations, mentoring and training junior staff members, and assisting project teams with a variety of site/civil land development engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D
• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking and Storm and Sanitary Analysis software packages, PondPack, and Microsoft Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Provide technical support and lead site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
• Coordinate permitting with County and local municipalities. Experience with local municipalities is a plus.
• Multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
• Work with project management team to identify impediments and develop / implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Perform pavement assessments and compiling data and reports
• Occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel as needed
• Other duties as assigned
