WSP is currently initiating a search for a Site Civil Engineer to join our Power & Energy team in Exton, PA. The following location will be considered: Philadelphia, PA. Your Impact

  • Preparation of design plans and calculations associated with general site civil design, grading, roadway layout, stormwater management, local ordinance interpretation, etc
  • Grading and drainage, erosion and sedimentation control design and review
  • Structural and Geotechnical discipline coordination
  • Environmental and non-environmental permitting primarily throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions. Examples include: NPDES, USACE, and DEP permitting, Local Land Development Plans, etc.
  • Stormwater analysis and design for varying types of sites
  • Maintaining good working relationships with internal groups that support projects.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with clients, material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule and cost of projects.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 7+ years’ of relevant post education experience as a civil engineer.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in consulting firms.
  • Proficient with various engineering design tools and software. Specifically, Autodesk Civil 3D and stormwater design software’s like Hydroflow Hydrographs or HydroCAD
  • Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Efficient communications and ability to work with team members not located in the same office through MS Teams, email, and/or telephone calls.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification or Eligible for P.E. licensing

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $95,000 - $169,290

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
