Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Mid-Atlantic Region. The role can be based in Richmond, VA or other regional offices. You will lead site civil design, manage permitting, and coordinate with clients to deliver water and wastewater projects on time and within budget.

You will mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, with opportunities to grow client relationships and navigate local permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in site civil projects.
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license.
• Experience in land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
• Client-facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships.
• Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead site civil design and permitting efforts for municipal/industrial facilities, including water and wastewater systems.
• Manage planning, design and permitting to comply with contracts, drawings, specs, codes, and Arcadis standards.
• Coordinate with clients, define goals, and align resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Provide technical expertise as a design lead, QA/QC reviewer, or advisor on multi-disciplined projects.
• Navigate local/state permitting to obtain regulatory approvals.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients to determine needs and grow client relationships.
