Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Design Engineering team in North America. This hybrid-flexible role may be based at any Arcadis office in the Eastern US.

You will provide technical leadership for site development, reclamation, stormwater, and civil infrastructure projects, guiding them from feasibility and design through permitting, construction support, and closeout. Occasional travel to field sites and client meetings rounds out the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a civil engineer.
• Proficiency with 3D civil site design using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar.
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design efforts from proposal development to final design and construction support.
• Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor for project teams and clients.
• Review and interpret technical reports, maps, drawings, and calculations to support design development.
• Evaluate regulations, permitting requirements, and standards to develop compliant designs.
• Lead development of grading plans, drainage layouts, and earthwork estimates using 3D site design tools.
• Provide guidance to design staff, review work products for quality and constructability.
• Support RFIs, submittals, field conditions, and design revisions during construction.
