Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles is seeking a Site Associate for Roots to Grow. This part-time role supports site safety, cleanliness, and resident well-being, with occasional evenings and weekends.

You will assist with intakes, inventory, and community resources while collaborating with program staff to sustain a safe living environment. The role requires a 2+ year background in direct services to high-risk youth, trauma-informed knowledge, and a valid CA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred; related work or lived experience considered.
• 2+ years in direct services to high-risk transition age youth required.
• Knowledge of child/adolescent development and trauma-informed care required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and the ability to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Daily house and property inspections to maintain resident safety and curb appeal.
• Maintain inventory and storage of program supplies and snacks.
• Assist with program intakes and exits, including documentation of requirements.
• Coordinate food pantry donations and meal supports for residents.
• Report safety, maintenance, or other issues to SPY managers and track outcomes.
• Support residents and enforce house rules; provide crisis response and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate volunteers and prepare on-site educational programs and life skills activities.
• Assist in preparing required program reports.
