Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a part-time Site Associate for Roots to Grow. The role focuses on maintaining a safe living environment, overseeing the property, and supporting residents with crisis response and daily needs.

The position requires 2+ years of direct service experience with high-risk youth, trauma-informed care knowledge, and the ability to work nights and weekends. A CA driver license and insurance are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; related experience considered.
• 2+ years of direct services to high-risk youth required.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Valid California driver license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily property inspections to maintain safety.
• Manage program supplies and inventory.
• Assist with client intakes, documentation, and exit evaluations.
• Coordinate food pantry donations and meal supports.
• Report safety and maintenance issues to SPY maintenance in a timely manner.
• Build relationships with residents and enforce house rules.
• Collaborate with housing program staff to resolve issues.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site volunteers.
• Prepare and share resource lists for resident access.
• Support on-site educational and life-skills programs.
• Assist in required program reporting.
• Drive SPY vehicles to transport residents.
• Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Work nights and weekends as needed.
