Job summary

Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a SIS Data Specialist I. This 12‑month position supports the SIS Department with data entry, registration processing, and user support in Synergy.

The role includes assisting with registration for new and returning students, maintaining records, generating reports, and providing help desk support to staff and parents. Starting rate is $20.20/hour with benefits including paid time off and medical insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• General Computer Skills
• Basic Clerical/Organizational Skills
• Preferred experience with databases, Microsoft Office and Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Assist in registration of new and returning families.
• Enter technology department purchase orders.
• Assist with tech support.
• Maintain PAF setup for new hires, changes and retirees.
• Maintain Staff User Groups in Synergy.
• Synergy setup and maintenance in specific areas.
• Generate and assist with reports for verification with Federal/State/District as assigned by Director of Information Services.
• All areas of registration
• Data entry as required
• Assist in all areas of registration throughout the school year including spring kindergarten and summer registration.
• Help staff and parents daily for all areas of support: Spiceworks, ParentHelpDesk, ParentVue via email, phone and walk-ins.
• Maintain confidentiality of all SIS records.
