Lake Havasu Unified School District is seeking a Student Information System Specialist to manage SIS data reporting for internal users, district partners, and grants. You will ensure data compliance, share data with partners, and load district data into the SIS system.

The role collaborates with IT, Human Resources, and the Student Achievement Department to provide training, maintain gradebooks and transcripts, and ensure compliance with FERPA/HIPAA during data handling.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Education Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficient in using SIS and data management software.
• Experience in accessing and extracting information from data systems.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare reports and documentation with student data for internal users, district partners, and state/federal grants.
• Ensure student data compliance with grant requirements and regulatory standards; manage data sharing with district partners.
• Upload district data into the student information system.
• Establish and maintain user access with permissions to the SIS and related apps (e.g., Clever, Google Classroom, Parchment, IEP Pro, ADE Portal).
• Collaborate with IT to optimize data integration workflows and troubleshoot system issues.
• Develop processes to produce reports and maintain documentation for audits.
• Provide training and mentorship to SIS end-users across departments.
• Maintain district-wide SIS configuration for gradebooks, report cards, transcripts, and master scheduling.
• Adhere to FERPA, HIPAA and confidentiality requirements when handling student records.
