JobDiva, Inc. is seeking a Biologist: Single-Cell Sequencing Scientist in Boston to support RNA-seq and single-cell sequencing efforts within a Cardiometabolic Research team.

The role centers on library preparation workflows and collaboration across therapeutic areas to advance drug discovery. The position emphasizes hands-on molecular biology, preparation of scRNA-seq/snRNA-seq libraries, and leveraging multiple platforms (e.g., 10x Genomics Chromium) while maintaining meticulous documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in biological sciences, biochemical sciences, or a related field.
• 2 years of laboratory research experience.
• Strong hands-on molecular biology experience, including nucleic acid extraction and purification, quantification, NGS library preparation, quality control, and qPCR.
• Strong knowledge of next-generation sequencing technologies and applications, preferably including Illumina platforms.
• Direct experience with bulk RNA-seq and amplicon sequencing.
• Direct experience preparing single-cell RNA-seq and single-nucleus RNA-seq libraries.
• Experience with multiple scRNA-seq/snRNA-seq platforms, such as 10x Genomics Chromium, Illumina PIP-seq, ScaleBio, or Parse Biosciences.
• Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience documenting laboratory activities in electronic laboratory notebook systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq, and other next-generation sequencing library preparation workflows.
• Conduct molecular and cell biology experiments supporting drug discovery programs.
• Design and execute experiments to identify and validate potential drug targets.
• Support assay development, optimization, and validation.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction, purification, quantification, library preparation, and quality-control testing.
• Troubleshoot experimental workflows and analyze complex laboratory data.
• Support sequencing data generation and quality-control activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional research teams across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental documentation.
• Present experimental results, findings, and conclusions through written reports and verbal presentations.
