Job summary

10x Genomics, Inc. is seeking a motivated scientist to join the Single Cell Biology group, focusing on developing and optimizing single cell assays and hands-on molecular biology work.

You will work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment with colleagues from Molecular/Cell Biology, Chemistry, Fluidics, and Computational Biology, applying NGS expertise to troubleshoot and advance assay development.

Qualifications

• Hands-on molecular biology experience including nucleic acid extraction and PCR/qPCR.
• Strong background in NGS workflows and library preparation.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot multi-step experiments.
• Experience with data analysis to interpret results.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize single cell assay workflows and sample processing.
• Prepare sequencing libraries and perform data analysis.
• Troubleshoot assay components and assist internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Support, and Marketing.
• Contribute to project plans and timelines.
• Suggest new tools and methods to advance assay development.
• Interpret results to determine next steps.
