Job summary

LSU New Orleans seeks a project manager to direct SIMS initiatives and act as the primary liaison among the SIMS contractor, program office, and vendor staff. You will track requests, resolve issues, and prepare regular status reports for management.

The role supports connectivity across three data interfaces, leads meetings, and maintains business processes while aiding with Medicaid system certification and vendor onboarding efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience in managing projects and coordinating work across multiple teams or organizations.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience with writing business documents such as reports, operational or policy manuals, and/or project work plans.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management toward the Statewide Incident Management System (SIMS) and liaison with the SIMS contractor.
• Track, manage, and ensure resolution of all work requests submitted to the SIMS contractor.
• Coordinate with the Office of Technology Services, SIMS contractor, and program staff to resolve connectivity issues across the system’s data interfaces.
• Facilitate and lead meetings with the SIMS contractor and subject matter experts.
• Create, maintain, and distribute project reports to management to provide visibility into concerns and updates on vendor work.
• Submit invoices and supporting documentation to the LDH SIMS workgroup and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Develop, document and periodically update business processes and assist with Medicaid enterprise system certification and vendor onboarding.
