Job summary

Aloe Semiconductor is a photonics startup in New Jersey seeking a hands-on Silicon Photonics Test Engineer to develop and execute wafer-level and die-level testing of PICs. You will work with photonic design, packaging, and senior test engineers to build automated test capabilities and generate reliable data for development and customer evaluation.

Responsibilities include setting up tunable lasers, OSAs, power meters, high-speed oscilloscopes, VNAs, probe stations, and Python-based test

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical/Optical Engineering or Physics.
• Experience with optical laboratory equipment and test automation in Python.
• Strong data analysis and ability to document results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform wafer-level and die-level optical and electrical characterization of silicon photonic devices and PICs.
• Measure insertion loss, coupling loss, wavelength response, extinction ratio, responsivity, DC/IV, PAM4 eye quality, BER, bandwidth, RF S-parameters.
