Job summary

fJscaler Inc. seeks an experienced Silicon Photonics Test Engineer to lead test strategies for PICs. You will define plans, develop automated test solutions, and drive DVT, characterization, qualification, and production tests.

Collaboration across design, reliability, packaging, and manufacturing is essential. The role requires hands-on experience testing silicon photonics devices, plus automated test software development using LabVIEW, C#, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 4+ years developing automated test applications.
• 2+ years testing silicon photonics devices or PICs.
• Experience defining test plans and test methodologies for silicon photonics.
• Experience executing DVT and production test activities.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics device operation and performance metrics.
• Hands-on wafer-level testing experience with silicon photonics devices.
• Automated test software development using C#, Python, LabVIEW, or similar languages.
• Experience with optical/electro-optical test instrumentation including tunable lasers, power meters, OSA, high-speed oscilloscopes, PMU, BER testers, VNA.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, methodologies, and acceptance criteria for silicon photonics products.
• Define and execute DVT, characterization, qualification, and production test strategies for PICs.
• Develop automated test software and test frameworks for wafer-level testing using LabVIEW and C#.
• Design and implement test solutions for characterization of photonic components including modulators, photodiodes, splitters, and couplers.
• Perform data analysis using Python or other programming languages.
• Collaborate with photonic designers to define measurements and improve testability.
• Characterize electro-optical performance across voltage, temperature, wavelength, and process variation.
• Correlate DVT results, qualification data, and production test data to simulation.
• Analyze test data and yield trends to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Support transition of test solutions into manufacturing environments.
• Create test documentation including plans, procedures, specifications, and manufacturing test requirements.
