Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer to join a close-knit team. You will develop physics-based modeling solutions in the EO/IR/RF domain and contribute to AI-enabled hardware and software.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience, C++, MATLAB or Python, and ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. This is an onsite position with relocation support.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field
2+ years of relevant experience with OO software in C++/C; MATLAB or Python for data analysis
Experience on UNIX/Linux, Apple OS or Windows command line
Background in EO/RF systems, signal processing or missile applications
Able to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable way
Apply EO/RF phenomenology and physics in software implementations
Advance modeling techniques and support customer adoption
Work across languages and build environments within an established product
Research novel EO/RF modeling solutions and mentor teammates
Coordinate with multiple teams to solve complex software problems
Contribute to signal processing and data interpretation efforts
