Job summary

ZP Connect is a leading provider of onsite interpreting services, video relay service and video remote interpreting, serving deaf and hard of hearing communities. This role offers flexible scheduling as a ZP Flex 12 interpreter with a 12-hour weekly average over six weeks.

Interpreters must be fluent in ASL and English, adhere to NAD-RID codes, and complete a 40-hour new hire training. Telehealth benefits and retirement plans are available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of experience in interpreting (preferred).
• State licensure or state-required credentials.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Exhibit punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interactions with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to all policies and FCC regulations.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
