Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service (VRS). We are seeking Interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services. Full and part-time positions are available in the US and in Canada.

Essential duties include interpreting between ASL and spoken English, maintaining licensure, and complying with FCC regulations and RID Code of Professional Conduct. Flexible shifts, education credits, and licensure reimbursement are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Interpreter certification may be required by local regulations.
• 3 years of interpreter experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain licensure/certification compliance as required.
• Adhere to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations and RID Code of Conduct.
• Maintain attendance per company policy.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Work effectively in a team and fast-paced environment.
