Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service workforce in the US and Canada. We seek interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services, with full- and part-time roles in Tucson, AZ. A high school diploma or GED is required; degrees are preferred.

Certification and experience are valued, with opportunities for training and licensure reimbursement. Flexible scheduling and premium shifts may boost hourly wages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years’ experience interpreting (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Fast paced, highly regulated, customer service oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret effectively between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Comply with Sorenson policies, FCC regulations and RID Code.
• Adhere to Sorenson attendance policy.
• Complete tasks, projects and paperwork promptly.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet VRS demands.
• Learn and implement new technologies.
• Work well in a team and support colleagues.
