Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated’s Joybird showroom is seeking a Retail Sales Lead to drive in-store sales and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will open/close the store, manage daily sales reporting, and support a high-volume sales floor while maintaining visual merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of furniture industry a plus.
• Proficiency in Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and perform duties in the absence of management.
• Open/close the store with keys and alarm code.
• Submit daily sales reports to retail leadership.
• Oversee the sales floor during high volume; support sales team and ensure financial goals are met.
• Lead by example in sales generation and customer service to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Maintain showroom design and visual standards per merchandising guidelines.
• Grow and maintain a client base; drive store sales through follow-up and outreach.
• Assist leadership to create programs to enhance customer experiences.
• Share feedback with product, marketing and tech teams.
• Mentor Part Time Designers when applicable.
• Handle safety and physical demands on the sales floor.
