Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking a Show Floor Visual Designer to create eye-catching displays that attract customers and boost sales. You will design with color, lighting, and props, and work with AFW’s Staging team to deliver inviting show floors.

You will partner with multiple departments to implement seasonal initiatives, prepare products for merchandising, and maintain brand standards across all displays.

Qualifications

• Interior design degree or visual merchandising experience.
• Able to work with multiple departments to improve processes and service.
• Independent worker with strong teamwork skills in a fast paced retail setting.
• Learn and apply new technologies including Storis, iPads, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Staging Manager to prepare seasonal merchandising presentations.
• Prepare product in the warehouse for merchandising.
• Collaborate with store management on visual decisions impacting workload and sales.
• Develop display themes and color schemes with buying teams.
• Pull and style new products to create seasonally aligned displays.
• Maintain brand standards by updating vignettes and ready displays.
• Plan floor moves and product refreshes with staging and warehouse teams.
• Identify reports and UPC labels and read tickets for merchandising tasks.
