Job summary

AEG Presents in New York, NY is seeking an Accountant to perform professional accounting work, prepare road checks, record deposits, and maintain department financial records, ensuring timely show settlements. You will code invoices, reconcile settlements with the general ledger, work with venue staff, and support management with reports and ad-hoc projects.

Bachelor in accounting or finance with 1–2 years experience, MS Office proficiency required; knowledge of JD Edwards, Image Now/Perceptive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Experience in month end close process.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Music industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Image Now/Perceptive and Concur is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank transactions, show files, tickets sales, marketing invoices, balance sheets, credit card transactions for ticket sales, and purchasing card charges; research discrepancies.
• Code and reconcile all invoices pertaining to each assigned show, processing of road checks, daily cash receipts, invoices, artist payments, and all other cash transactions.
• Work with venue operating staff to ensure settlements are submitted timely and accurately into the show system.
• Review and reconcile supporting documents in the settlement file related to revenues and expenses and accrue activity monthly.
• Compare and maintain internal show system settlements vs JD Edwards accounting systems to ensure data accuracy.
• Submit and code G&A expenses to the appropriate business unit/dept.
• Perform ad-hoc projects, income statement and balance sheet reconciliations, and generate reports on request.
