Job summary

AEG Worldwide in New York is seeking an Accountant to perform professional level accounting work including road checks, bank deposits, wires, and show settlements, with reconciliation to the general ledger. The role involves coding invoices for show settlements, resolving discrepancies, and supporting management with ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements include BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, 1-2 years of related experience, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts/Sciences in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Experience in month-end close process.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Image Now/Perceptive and Concur is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank transactions, show files, tickets sales, marketing invoices, balance sheets, credit card transactions, and show costs; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Code and reconcile all invoices for each assigned show; process road checks, daily cash receipts, invoices, and artist payments.
• Coordinate with venue operating staff to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
• Review and reconcile supporting documents in settlement files; accrue monthly activity.
• Compare internal show system settlements with JD Edwards for data accuracy.
• Submit and code G&A expenses to the appropriate business unit/department.
• Execute ad-hoc projects, income statement and balance sheet reconciliations, and generate reports on request.
