Job summary

Component Repair Technologies in Mentor, OH is hiring a Shot Peen Technician to apply shot peen processes on turbine engine components and gain hands-on experience in a modern facility.

You will work with CNC shot peen equipment, read work instructions, and follow established procedures to ensure proper surface treatment and fatigue life improvement. Training is provided in a controlled environment with growth opportunities as responsibilities expand.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and follow instructions.
• Experience with basic measuring devices (scales, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Familiarity with shop math.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Set up and prepare CNC shot peen equipment using written programs.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and verify understanding.
• Control coverage areas to be shot peened.
• Monitor CNC program for proper execution.
• Evaluate surfaces to ensure complete, uniform coverage.
• Secure racks, tooling, baskets, and products prior to operations.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on shot peen equipment.
• Clean, adjust and maintain equipment with hand tools.
• Utilize overhead crane and lifting devices as needed.
• Log all processes and results in the department log.
