Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is seeking a Shot Peen Technician to apply shot peen processes on turbine engine components and work within a climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility in Mentor, OH.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in a manufacturing setting and ability to read/interpret work instructions.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to understand step-by-step processes.
• Experience with basic measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Familiarity with general shop math and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols and procedures.
• Set up and prepare CNC shot peen equipment via work instructions.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately from internal/external documents.
• Control coverage areas to be shot peened and monitor CNC program execution.
• Evaluate treated surface for uniform coverage and quality.
• Log all process and results in department logs.
• Perform routine inspection and minor maintenance on shot peen equipment.
• Use hand tools and overhead crane as needed.
