Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead to mitigate theft and fraud in high-risk areas while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

You will engage with customers and associates with a confident, energetic greeting and professional presence in line with our core values. You will partner with store and field leadership to train Shortage Control Associates, identify theft indicators, and drive shortage education.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors through role modeling and strong presence.
• Maintain a safe and secure store with attention to detail and strong communication.
• Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to promote best-in-class service.
• Display working knowledge of shortage programs to identify and reduce theft.
• Gather indicators of external theft and collaborate with leaders and law enforcement as needed.
• Support store management with internal controls, audits, and asset protection programs.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training of associates in shortage reduction.
• Assist in semi-annual inventory preparation and action planning to reduce shortage.
• Role-model safety as a top priority.
• Manage stressful situations with disciplined approach.
