Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking a Shorex Inventory and Operations Specialist to develop and manage destination-based guest programs, including shore excursions and overland tours. You will build and optimize tour inventory, coordinate with vendors, and support shipboard teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include database management, planning, cost audits, and compliance. The role emphasizes data integrity, reporting, and proactive communication with travel agents and guests,

Qualifications

• Shipboard/Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; MXP/database and Polar experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve in a deadline-oriented atmosphere.
• Flexibility in terms of dealing with changing priorities and dealing with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical and results oriented.
• Technical ability and agility to navigate systems, learn and use web-based tools, troubleshoot and test.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management and Optimization: build, manage, audit and negotiate tour inventory; monitor sales against plan.
• Database Management, Planning & Operational Administration: manage Shorex Repository, MXP, and related data; provide tools for analysis.
• Manage itinerary changes and adjustments for region; coordinate with call centers and shipboard teams.
• Customer service: act as liaison for tour information and support; handle inquiries from guests and agents.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: audit data integrity; update manuals and procedures.
