Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions, coordinate operations, and represent the brand aboard our ships for the 2027 season.

The role features high guest interaction, extensive planning, and long hours across U.S. ports. A hospitality/event management background, strong public speaking skills, and geographic knowledge are essential, along with MS Office proficiency and TWIC credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in hospitality, tourism, or event management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong public speaking, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. geography is preferred.
• TWIC credential required or eligible to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising regions, ports, and offered excursions.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and ground operators for timely service.
• Accommodate guest requests, including personalized arrangements.
• Inform crew of daily excursion offerings and changes.
• Present excursion briefings at start of each cruise.
• Promote onboard sales and loyalty programs.
• Report cruise status and excursion metrics to Home Office.
