Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions and transfers across US-flagged ships for the 2027 season. The role ensures engaging guest experiences, brand representation, and seamless coordination with vendors and hotel teams.

You’ll manage complex itineraries, interact with guests throughout voyages, and collaborate with Cruise Director, Guest Speakers, and Resident Entertainers to optimize scheduling and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Geography preferred.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust all shore excursions, explorations, adventures and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as a brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors, coach companies and ground operators.
• Accommodate guest requests, including personalized experiences.
• Present a detailed Excursion Briefing to guests at cruise start.
• Communicate excursion changes to guests confidently.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing and coordinate with Hotel Manager & Mate.
