Job summary

HOLT CAT in Irving, TX seeks a Shop Service Technician 3 for the component rebuild center. Responsibilities include diagnosing, disassembling/assembling parts to spec, rebuilding and maintaining heavy equipment, and documenting work electronically.

Must mentor others and handle parts ordering while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires 4+ years of diesel repair experience, ability to read schematics, and a high school diploma or diesel program completion.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Reading schematics and diagrams experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer specifications using hand, pneumatic, and specialized tooling.
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.
• Documents all work electronically.
• Orders parts and communicates with shop management; mentors other technicians.
