Job summary

Holt CAT in Little Elm, TX is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in a shop setting. You will troubleshoot, disassemble, reassemble, and recondition dozers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong diesel repair background, ability to read schematics, and proficiency with CAT ET/CAT SIS software.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications through use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
• Mentors and trains others in shop processes and safety
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and timely completes repair documents
