Job summary

Take 5 is hiring a full-time Assistant Store Manager in Portland, OR. You will lead a team in a fast-paced oil-change and car care shop, ensuring friendly service and efficient operations.

You will oversee floor activity, train staff, handle opening/closing, manage inventory, and perform technician duties as needed. A strong customer focus and ability to coach others are essential.

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, with opportunities to grow across locations.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced shop or retail/service environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to coach and train staff.
• Ability to manage inventory and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave to ensure a great experience.
• Assume the responsibility of Shop Manager in the absence of the Manager.
• Run the floor, ensure team is where they need to be and customers are satisfied.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory counting and adjustments.
• Train and develop subordinates; be a role model and hold the team accountable.
• Perform technician duties as needed: oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize the shop and office.
