Job summary

RA Holdings Group through our Ladybug Concrete Specialties branch is seeking an entry-level Shop Helper/Laborer in Norfolk, VA. The role offers hands-on training in warehouse and construction environments, with a focus on safety and tool proficiency under experienced staff.

Pay starts at $20 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00am–3:30pm) and full-time benefits including health insurance, paid time off, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and company-provided equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• Must have Real ID, SS, and Birth Certificate.
• Must have Clean Background or ability to obtain on base badging.
• Must meet Driving Record Qualifications for company auto insurance.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to project locations in the 757 cities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse environment as trained.
• Load trucks with tools, equipment, and materials for the next day’s work.
• Unload and store tools and materials when trucks return.
• Assist with inventory control and identify damaged, missing, or low-stock items.
• Follow safety procedures and transition into construction work as experience grows.

Job Responsibilities:

• As a Shop Helper you will be trained to maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse environment.
• Clean and organize tools, equipment, work areas, and company vehicles.
• Load trucks with the tools, equipment, and materials needed for the following day's work.
• Unload and properly store tools, equipment, and materials when trucks return.
• Assist with inventory control by organizing shop supplies and identifying damaged, missing, or low-stock items.
• Learn proper handling, storage, and care of tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and instructions.
• Transition into construction work as experience is gained and demonstrate the ability to follow job-site safety requirement.
• Learn how to safely operate and maintain power tools and concrete-cutting equipment under the guidance of experienced employees.
• Assist with measuring, marking, and preparing work areas before concrete cutting operations begin.
• Assist with job-site setup, material handling, equipment preparation, and cleanup.
• Follow all construction site safety procedures while learning proper work practices and equipment operation.

Required Qualifications:
