As a Shop Foreman, you will:

1. Assign work efficiently to achieve quality repairs and meet estimated times of repair (ETR).
2. Maintain clear communication with Service Writers and the Lead Uptime Technician.
3. Assist the Lead Uptime Technician to ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Minimize customer wait times on new truck arrivals.
5. Work with the Lead Uptime Technician during quality control to reduce reworks, comebacks, and dissatisfaction.
6. Challenge technicians with assigned work.
7. Coach technicians, recommend training, and discipline as needed.
8. Supervise technician trainees directly.
9. Provide technical support to technicians and management.
10. Follow customer contact and communication policies.
11. Adhere to Nextran policies and procedures, including the “Nextran’s Pledge to Customers.”
12. Gather quality control feedback for coaching.
13. Assist with heavy diagnostic jobs.
14. Notify the Service Manager of broken tools and unsafe conditions.
15. Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred candidates will have:

• At least seven years of heavy-duty truck mechanical experience
• Three to five years of supervisory experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand financial information related to dealership operations
• High School Diploma (college or technical training preferred but not mandatory)
• Valid CDL license
