Job summary

ProTrans International in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to coordinate the movement of customers' materials through our Service Center Network. The role includes dispatching service requirements, preparing documents, and providing timely updates to internal and external customers.

You will work with dock operations and planning teams to manage outbound volume, track data, and generate reports.

Qualifications

• Coordinates movement of materials through the service center network.
• Prepares inbound/outbound documentation and reports.
• Interacts with internal and external customers and planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch service requirements from pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinator’s with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
