Job summary

Pro Trans International is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Romulus, MI. The role coordinates movements of customer materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network, with a Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule and precise documentation responsibilities.

You will liaise between dock operations and customers, track data, generate reports, and handle outbound/inbound paperwork while supporting the planning group to manage outbound volume.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database software; internet software; inventory software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, schedules, and dispatches of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
• Must be direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customer
• Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers
• Responsible for inter-company and intra-company communication.
• Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers
• Prepare all inbound and outbound documentation
• Additional clerical duties as assigned
• Validation and verification of materials on dock to include labeling, pulling packing slips, moving boxes, opening boxes
• Generate reports providing Dock Coordinators with the critical shipping information
• This job may require overseeing of loading activities (varies by center).
