Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to manage the receipt, handling, storage, packaging, and shipment of materials and finished goods. The role ensures inventory accuracy and compliant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to hobby knives, utility knives, pliers
• Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process all domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL and other carriers and couriers.
• Determine appropriate carrier and method of shipment required to meet internal and external customer demands.
• Maintain internal databases including intranet and ERP system to ensure accurate shipping history.
• Work with internal customers to resolve customer service issues, including, but not limited to: shipping errors, order entry errors, late orders, packing slip/part count/PO discrepancies.
• Proactively communicate shipping issues to customer service for resolution.
• Support other departments with preparing and shipping tradeshow supplies, marketing materials, and samples by requested ship method.
